Basically it's like using a dyneema halyard and a bungie cord to hold up a sail. WebWhen laying up a body, it is good to have some sort of cradle to lay the mandrel in. The cradle should support the mandrel at the ends and allow the fiberglass layup to be done without getting in the way. See the photos for an example. You should also protect yourself from the epoxy.
