But once they hit a higher level, they can't really handle monsters higher level due to the magic reduction penalty that they have. Unlike Mercenaries, they can handle things 5 levels higher than their current level. WebSo here are your best bets for your first characters. If you want to be completely independant, you should be an Assist/Billposter. It can farm all the needed things for other characters, including the BJ. You can also start as a BJ if you want to level up faster, but imo it's better to have a good base first.
